WELCOME
SCBA Toronto is a local chapter of the Society of Chinese Bioscientists in America (SCBA), which is a non-profit international organization established in 1984. The purpose of the Toronto Chapter is to provide a platform for Toronto based bioscientists to communicate and collaborate on science and beyond. The chapter organizes several academic and social activities throughout the year. The highlight of these activities is an annual full-day research symposium around Chinese lunar New Year, followed by a celebrator dinner banquet. The chapter also gives annual Best Paper Award(s) to trainees. A series of research seminars takes place throughout the academic year.
This chapter currently has 51 registered members, including 32 life-members. The members encompass 8 academic departments and 6 hospitals in Toronto region. Anyone interested can apply for membership (please see Membership).
